Shannon

4 Children

Shannon is a devoted wife and mother of four children, ranging in age from 10 to 17. Since 2019, taking on the responsibility of homeschooling her three younger children, by individualizing it for them to learn based on a lot of the principles found in the book "The Call of the Wild and Free" by Ainsley Arment. Shannon's decision to homeschool was guided by her faith in God, trusting this is the best fit to meet each of their needs. Shannon recognizes the freedom in home education, focusing on the "why" rather than the “how" of homeschooling, especially, for her special needs and gifted learners.

Shannon believes that homeschooling her children is the best way to provide them with an education that is centered around God and tailored to their individual abilities. Homeschooling allows her to design a creative environment that is not only academically invigorating but also spiritually enriching. She recognizes that children are unique, and as such, she customizes her teaching methods to fit their learning styles, including those with special needs or who are gifted learners. She strongly believes in connection over correction, and curriculum, and to understand your child is to understand their heart.
