Chrissy is a military wife, homemaker, mom and 7-year home educator to five children from early childhood to senior high school. Chrissy believes that she was created for motherhood! Through the seasons of motherhood that push her beyond her capabilities, Chrissy is firmly rooted in Christ. She is a naturalist mom raising naturalist children and says her life's work is in her children's soul and the garden's soil.

Togetherness is her family's culture and the biggest "why" for homeschooling. Her eclectic homeschool approach emphasizes nurturing the whole child through child-led learning, nature immersions and project-based educational experiences. Chrissy favorite homeschool days are in fieldwork, exploration and books over textbooks and desks- always looking for lessons taught by nature. Her family enjoys learning and teaching others about the environment through conservation efforts and volunteer work in their beachside community.
