
BRAVE Conference Speaker Application Terms & Conditions
- Content Rights and Usage: By agreeing to speak at the BRAVE Conference, you grant Made2Homeschool the right to capture, record, and utilize your presentation(s) and associated materials (slides, handouts, etc.) in any format, including video, audio, and digital. We reserve the right to edit, reproduce, publish, and distribute this content as part of our educational and promotional activities without additional remuneration.
- Waiver of Liability: You agree that your participation as a speaker at the BRAVE Conference is voluntary and at your own risk. Made2Homeschool is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property associated with your participation in the conference.
- Intellectual Property: You affirm that the content of your presentation is your original work and does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions or licenses for copyrighted material included in your presentation.
- Conduct and Compliance: You agree to conduct yourself in a professional manner consistent with the values of the Made2Homeschool community. You will adhere to all conference guidelines and respect the rights and dignity of all participants.
- Cancellation Policy: In the event that you are unable to attend the conference after confirming your participation, you agree to notify the organizers at the earliest opportunity. Made2Homeschool reserves the right to modify the conference schedule or speaker lineup at any time without prior notice.
- Compensation and Expenses: Details of any compensation or reimbursement for expenses related to your participation as a speaker will be outlined in a separate agreement.
- Session Submission and Scheduling: If selected as a speaker, you are required to submit your pre-recorded session, either 30 or 45 minutes in length, no later than June 28th. For those submitting an application for LIVE Q&A or Panel Sessions, please note that speaker selection will be based on the relevance and quality of submissions, not on a first-come, first-served basis. Timely submission is critical for ensuring integration into the conference schedule and for conducting necessary technical checks. Failure to submit by the deadline may result in adjustments to or removal from the conference lineup.
- Promotional Requirements: If selected as a speaker, you are expected to actively promote your session and the event as a whole. This includes:
- Sending at least one email announcement to your mailing list.
- Posting a minimum of three times on all applicable social media channels.
- Providing Made2Homeschool with a 30-second promotional video clip (vertical) by June 15th, 2024.
These promotional activities are crucial for the success of the conference and to ensure maximum engagement and attendance. Made2Homeschool will provide you with guidelines and key messages to support your promotional efforts, ensuring consistency across all channels.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure: Speakers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that may influence the content of their presentations. This disclosure should be submitted alongside the session content to ensure transparency and maintain the integrity of the conference. Failure to disclose such conflicts may result in disqualification from current or future participation.

Technical Requirements and Support: Speakers are responsible for meeting the specified technical requirements for their presentations, including video quality, file format, and connectivity standards for live sessions.
All recorded presentations should be:- 1080p or greater resolution
- Well lit
- Recorded using a dedicated microphone
- Live sessions will require a wired high speed internet connection.
Compliance with these technical standards is crucial to ensure a seamless presentation experience for all attendees.

Changes to Terms and Conditions: Made2Homeschool reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time as deemed necessary for the successful operation of the BRAVE Conference. Any changes will be communicated to the speakers via email or through the conference website. Continued participation in the conference following such modifications constitutes the speaker’s acceptance of the revised terms and conditions.
- Promotional Content: You agree that any promotional material or messages shared during your presentation must be relevant and add value to the attendees, as determined by the leadership of Made2Homeschool. Promotion of products, services, or other offerings should be appropriate to the educational and thematic context of the BRAVE Conference and should not detract from the educational quality of the presentation. Made2Homeschool reserves the right to pre-approve all promotional content to ensure it aligns with the interests and values of our community. This guideline is intended to maintain the integrity and focus of the educational experience, ensuring that all promotions are in good taste and genuinely beneficial to the conference participants.
By checking the Terms & ConditionsĀ boxĀ in the application form, you agree to abide by the terms outlined above should you be accepted as a speaker at the BRAVE Conference. This agreement confirms your understanding and commitment to participate under these conditions if selected.
