Session details
In this session, attendees will explore what Scripture really says about worry and how it shows up in our homeschool-mom lives. From late-night doubts about curriculum choices to fears about whether we're doing enough, worry can easily take hold and begin to shape our thoughts, decisions, and sense of peace. Rather than simply trying to manage anxious feelings, this session looks deeper at the heart behind worry, what it reveals about what we believe about God, ourselves, and our role as homeschool moms. Through biblical teaching and real-life examples, attendees will be encouraged to recognize patterns of worry, understand their root causes, and begin replacing them with truth. This session also provides practical, actionable steps to help moms respond to worry in the moment, learning how to identify anxious thoughts, bring them to the Lord in prayer, and take the next faithful step forward with confidence and trust.

Session details
What is The Socratic Method and how can it make me a better teacher? Is it a separate curriculum? Is it difficult to learn? Is it a lot of work to apply? Can I use it with what I'm already doing? Adam lays out simple answers to all of these questions by explaining and demonstrating a Socratic discussion that will encourage and inspire parents to imitate the ancient philosopher himself. Parents of kids in K-12 will learn a simple technique can be applied in any subject to dramatically increase the power of contact time. Best of all, there's nothing to buy - all you need is a kid and a kitchen table!

Finding Their Way: How Job Shadowing, Internships, Passion Projects, Coursework and Apprenticeships Help Teens Discern Vocation
Rachel KovacRachel Kovac
Session details
"What do you want to do after high school?" is a question that looms large during the teen years. While the pressure to have it all figured out can feel overwhelming, discovering a vocation doesn't have to be stressful. Instead, it can be a joy-filled time of exploration. In Finding Their Way, Rachel helps parents walk alongside their teens in that process. She shares practical ways to explore different paths, including job shadowing, internships, passion projects, and apprenticeships. Teens can also explore coursework and certification programs, giving them a taste of specific fields before making bigger commitments. These experiences move learning beyond the classroom and into real life, where teens begin to see what they enjoy, what challenges them, and just as importantly, what isn't for them. This kind of exposure during the teenage years can help both teens and parents save time and money as they discern what makes them come alive. Join Rachel as she offers practical ideas and encouragement for navigating this important season.

Session details
In this session, we will talk about the benefits and purpose of reading WHOLE works, not just excerpts. From educational trends and statistics, to how teen brains are forming, to college professors, students are reading less and less, including shorter and shorter works, or parts of works. But what are we losing in this trend? This session makes the case for why whole books, not snippets, are essential for forming deep thinkers, resilient readers, and morally aware students. Discover how full novels shape character arcs, themes, and discernment in ways fragments never can.

The Simple Habit That Helps Kids Remember What They Learn
Cindy WestCindy West
Session details
Have you ever finished a lesson only to realize your child doesn't remember much of it later? This topic explains why that happens and what actually helps learning stick. Too often, children are exposed to information but never given the chance to truly process it. Without that step, learning fades quickly. This session focuses on one simple, flexible habit that helps children engage more deeply with what they are learning so it moves from short-term exposure to real understanding. You'll see how this habit can be used across subjects and with a wide range of ages. It doesn't require extra curriculum or complicated planning. Instead, it fits naturally into what you are already doing and helps you make the most of your current lessons. With a few small shifts, you can help your children think more clearly, make meaningful connections, and remember what they learn long after the lesson is over.

Rest That Renews: Trusting God While You Sow
Yvette HenryYvette Henry
Session details
In this session, attendees will be gently invited to reconsider what rest truly means in the context of homeschooling and faithful parenting. Rooted in Galatians 6:9, this conversation acknowledges the real weariness that can come from consistently pouring into our children while managing the many responsibilities of home life. Rather than pushing through exhaustion, parents will learn how to recognize it as an invitation to return to God's sustaining presence. Together, we will explore the seven types of rest, physical, mental, emotional, sensory, spiritual, social, and creative, and how each one uniquely shows up in the homeschool journey. Attendees will be guided through a simple "rest inventory" practice to help them identify what kind of tired they are experiencing and respond with intentional, life-giving rhythms. This session offers practical, grace-filled ways to incorporate rest into daily life without guilt, alongside a deeper spiritual reminder: rest is not a reward for finishing the work, it is how we remain faithful in it. Parents will leave encouraged to release pressure, embrace restorative rhythms, and remain rooted in God as they continue the good work set before them.

Session details
Homeschooling transforms your home into a full-time learning environment, but without the right systems, it can quickly become overwhelming. Many moms feel like they're constantly juggling school, mess, and home responsibilities, never quite catching up. In this session, you'll learn how to simplify your homeschool environment, set up functional and realistic spaces, and implement sustainable home systems that support your day instead of working against you. I'll walk you through practical strategies to reduce clutter, organize your materials, and create rhythms that keep your home running smoothly, even with kids home all day. Let Them Struggle: Raising Resilient Kids in Your Homeschool
Katie WaalkesKatie Waalkes
Session details
We love our kids deeply, and because of that, it's so easy to step in the moment things get hard to give the answer, ease the frustration, and try to keep things moving. But somewhere along the way, we start to feel that tension... knowing we might be helping in the moment, but holding them back in the long run. God, in His wisdom, uses struggle to shape us, and He often does the same in our children. This workshop is for the parent who feels that pull between helping and holding back, and wants to learn how to trust the process, support their child well, and rest in the truth that growth often comes through the hard things.

Technology That Teaches: Making Screen Time Count in Your Homeschool
Jessica WaldockJessica Waldock
Session details
In a world where screens are everywhere, homeschool parents often feel stuck between limiting technology and relying on it. But what if screen time could actually become one of the most valuable tools in your homeschool? In this session, Jessica from The Waldock Way shares how to use technology with intention to support real learning. Drawing from her experience as a homeschool mom and creator of interest-led resources, she'll show how screens can provide access to unlimited information, support different learning styles, and create engaging, multisensory learning experiences. You'll learn how to move beyond passive screen time and start using apps, videos, games, and digital tools in ways that spark curiosity, build skills, and actually enhance your homeschool day.
From Checklist to Connection: Rethinking What a ‘Good’ School Day Looks Like
Christine ZellChristine Zell
Session details
What if a successful homeschool day isn't about checking every box, but about what truly takes root? In this session with Christine Zell from Rabbit Trails Homeschool, we'll challenge the pressure to do it all and explore a more meaningful approach to learning, one that prioritizes connection, curiosity, and real understanding. You'll be encouraged to let go of unrealistic expectations and rethink what "productive" really means. Walk away with a renewed vision for your homeschool and simple, practical ways to create days that feel both purposeful and life-giving.
Help! My Kid Hates to Read: What to Do Now
Dachelle McVeyDachelle McVey
Session details
"Help! My kid hates to read." If you've said this, you're not alone. But when a child resists reading, it's rarely about laziness or attitude. It is usually a sign that something specific is getting in the way, whether that's difficulty with reading skills, low motivation, or a mismatch between the child and what they're being asked to read. In this session, we will break down what may actually be going on when a child says they hate reading and why waiting for them to "grow out of it" often makes the problem harder to fix. We'll talk about how giving kids choice can increase motivation, why expanding what counts as reading matters, how to rebuild confidence through small wins, and why reading aloud is still powerful, even for older students. If reading has become a daily struggle, this session will give you a clear place to start and practical next steps.
Navigating High School Without the Overwhelm
Misty BaileyMisty Bailey
Session details
High school can feel intimidating, especially when you're the one responsible for planning it all. Credits, transcripts, graduation requirements, and preparing your teen for what comes next can quickly leave you second-guessing every decision. This workshop breaks it down into manageable steps. You'll learn how to build a simple, flexible high school plan, choose curriculum without overcomplicating things, and prioritize the skills your teen actually needs for life after graduation. We'll talk honestly about common regrets, like gaps in writing or switching curriculum too often, and how to avoid them. Most importantly, this session will point you back to what matters most, keeping your homeschool grounded in God's Word while equipping your teen to take ownership of their learning.
Reclaiming Attention: Cultivating the Habit of Focus in a Fragmented Age
Bethanyanne HowardBethanyanne Howard
Session details
Charlotte Mason called attention the "chief of the school faculties," and spent considerable energy explaining how it must be trained with patience and discipline in children. What she understood, and what is increasingly urgent in our cultural moment, is that attention is not simply a personality trait or a matter of willpower. Attention is a habit, and like all habits it can be strengthened or eroded by the conditions we live in. This session takes seriously both the problem and the possibility, beginning with a clear account of why distraction and fragmentation are genuine threats to the educational vocation of the mother, then moving into the tradition's resources for recovery: habit formation, practices of silence, the rhythm of ordered days, and the slow cultivation of a mind capable of dwelling. Attendees will leave with a richer understanding of attention as a virtue to be cultivated, and with concrete habits to begin practicing in their own lives.
Cultivating a Hospitable Homeschool
Betsy FarquharBetsy Farquhar
Session details
In this session attendees will explore the idea of a "hospitable homeschool" and evaluate whether they are joining in this great call to God's church. Are we getting tunnel vision toward our curriculum or our children's academic progress? Have we engaged with ideas and resources that challenge us, or do we stick with the tried and true? Are we making room for the "other" in our homeschool life, whether for a meal, a robust book discussion, or simply our availability to one of our children? We will examine how to be hospitable to people outside our home, but we will also look at being hospitable in mind to other ideas and whether we have a hospitable attitude toward our own families. We'll discuss the practical and the philosophical, consider some first actionable steps, and explore how the Gospel speaks into these ideas.
The Hidden Progress of Our Unique Learners
Leilani MelendezLeilani Melendez
Session details
Parents of ADHD and special needs learners often put pressure on themselves by measuring progress through grade level, completed curriculum, and traditional academic benchmarks. However, for unique learners, progress often looks very different and can be easily missed if we are not paying attention. True growth may show up in small but meaningful ways, such as a child who previously shut down now trying again after frustration, fewer emotional outbursts, smoother transitions, or increased attention and engagement. It can also appear as growing confidence, independence, and the ability to retain skills with less repetition. When a child learns self-regulation, builds trust in learning, and develops perseverance, they are strengthening the foundation needed for future academic success. For these learners, small steps matter more than speed. A more helpful way to measure growth is to ask: What can my child do now that they couldn't do before? Where do I see increased confidence or reduced struggle? When we shift how we define progress, we begin to see that real learning is often quiet, but it is always happening.
Beyond the Pencil: A Whole-Child Approach to Handwriting in Your Homeschool
Sarah CollinsSarah Collins
Session details
Handwriting is often seen as a fine motor skill but it is SO MUCH MORE. In this session led by an occupational therapist and homeschool mom, we will explore the full range of skills that impact handwriting including posture, core strength, visual development, attention, and even social-emotional readiness. Participants will learn how these areas work together to support (or hinder) your child's writing, and walk away with adaptable, hands-on strategies designed for the flexibility of homeschooling. Whether your learner is just picking up a pencil or struggling with written work, this course will help you confidently support their development from head to toe.
Cultivating a Love of Learning
Christina F.Christina F.
Session details
In this session attendees will be inspired to embrace the beauty of home education and the gift of sparking a true love of learning in their children. Christina will share not only encouragement, but practical ideas and seasonal rhythms that make homeschooling a treasured part of family lifestyle, not just a separate category. This session will focus on how to develop this in the early years, but also how to continue tending to this throughout the older years.

How to Homeschool Active Kids
Elizabeth SantelmannElizabeth Santelmann
Session details
In this session, attendees will get tips for how to homeschool an active child. I was an active homeschooled child, and I homeschool three active boys. Often that need for activity is what prompts some parents to pull their kids out of school. The structure of long days is really hard on this kind of child, and also on very young children who need to move to learn. This session will help equip parents to teach new habits and think outside the box for their upcoming homeschool year.
How to ROCK the College or Scholarship Interview
Leia LeMaster HortonLeia LeMaster Horton
Session details
Many of the most competitive scholarships, honors colleges, and selective academic programs require interviews, and the interview is often the deciding factor between equally qualified students. In this practical workshop, students will learn how to position themselves for interview opportunities through strong test scores, standout student resumes, and competitive applications. They will then discover how to confidently answer questions, communicate their strengths, avoid common mistakes, and leave a memorable impression on scholarship judges and admissions committees.

In this session, she is bringing the practical tools she has used in business directly into her own home and family life, giving moms a simple way to cut through the noise, make decisions with confidence, and build a home culture that actually reflects what matters most to their family, and finally feel like they are leading their home with purpose.

Yes, really free. No credit card, no trial, no catch. Just your name and email, and you're in for all three days of live sessions. We'd rather have you here than charge a few bucks at the door.

Can my whole family watch together? What about my husband?

Absolutely. One registration covers your whole household. Pull up the laptop in the kitchen, cast it to the living room TV, share headphones... however works for your family. Invite your husband, your mom, that friend you've been trying to encourage about homeschooling.

What if I can't watch a session live?

On the free tier, live sessions are live only... if you miss one, it's gone. That's why we built VIP. VIP gets you on-demand recordings of every 2026 session for two weeks after the conference, plus the full 2024 and 2025 archives. Watch at 11pm after the kids are in bed, or at 6am with your coffee. You choose.

How do I access the conference after I register?

Right after registration, you'll get a confirmation email with your login info. The week of the conference, you'll get a session schedule and a direct link to the conference portal. Everything happens inside one easy-to-navigate page... speakers, sessions, exhibit hall, chat, all in one place.

Can I register free now and upgrade to VIP later?

Yep, anytime. Heads up though: $39 advance price runs through July 29, then $49 day-of. If VIP is calling your name, the smart move is locking it in now.

Is this only for Christian families?

We're a Christian homeschool community and we're upfront about it. Scripture shows up. Faith shapes how we talk about parenting, education, and calling. That said, every homeschool family is welcome here. If you're curious about this community, come sit with us. No one's going to pressure you, and no one's going to water it down either.

What tech do I need? Can I watch on my phone?

If you can read this, you're good. Any device with a browser and internet will work... phone, tablet, laptop, smart TV. No apps to download, no software to install. Just log in and watch.

Can I get a refund if VIP isn't for me?

All ticket sales are final and we don't issue refunds. Here's why: the VIP pass unlocks your access the moment you check out, and everything you're paying for (live sessions, on-demand window, archive) is delivered digitally right away. If you're not sure yet, grab the free LIVE-Only ticket first. You can always upgrade to VIP later if you decide you want the on-demand window and archive.

Still have a question? Email [email protected] and we'll get back to you quickly.
